28th HEPATITIS DAY

ILBS Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, Vasant Kunj organised 28th Hepatitis Day on 4th December 2025 in its premises to highlight the importance of protecting the liver against hepatitis for living a long, healthy life. This annual program aims to create awareness in school students regarding healthy lifestyle practices for a healthy liver. The theme for this year's program was
TOGETHER FOR A HEPATITIS FREE GENERATION.The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Sh. Nikhil Kumar, the Health Secretary of the Government of NCT of Delhi and Dr. S.K. Sarin (Director, ILBS). Dr. Sarin officially launched Project SMILES (Stronger India through a Million Health Educated Students). The core message of which emphasized students' role as Ambassadors to achieve a Hepatitis-Free Delhi.
To commemorate this day several competitions like Poster Competition,
Solo Act – Video, Quiz Contest and Slogan Competition were organised for students. ARNAV VERMA of class 8A bagged Second prize in Poster making competition out of 300 posters sent by various schools and institutions, on the topic of Hepatitis free generation. PRANAV of class 9B won Second prize in Slogan competition. Both of them received certificates and prizes for the same.
