CHANGE MAKER AWARD 2025-26

For Transforming School Frontyard into a Herbal Garden, MSMS proudly received the prestigious Change Maker Award in institutional category as well as Principal category by National EdTrust of India honoring the inspiring initiative of transforming a neglected front yard into a beautiful, educational herbal garden. Under the aegis of

National EduTrust of India, Government of India ,this was an  inspiring initiative that encouraged schools to identify and transform one ignored, unused, or untidy space within the campus into a sustainable, useful, and meaningful area. The front yard, once an unused and barren space, has now been converted into a vibrant herbal garden featuring a wide variety of medicinal plants. Each plant is thoughtfully labelled with nameplates displaying the scientific name, common name, and medicinal uses, making the garden a live learning laboratory for students. This herbal garden now serves as a green classroom , enriching biology and environmental studies lessons, promotes awareness while fostering curiosity, observation, respect for nature and sustainable practices aligned with *SDG 11, 12 & 13.
