INTERNATIONAL ASTEROID DAY

Mahavir Senior Model School celebrated International Asteroid Day on 30 June 2026 with great enthusiasm for students of Classes IV–IX and XI. Organized by the Science Department, the celebration aimed to spread awareness about asteroids, their significance in our solar system, and the importance of planetary defence.

Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of engaging activities, including slogan writing, asteroid-themed bookmark designing, asteroid model making using eco-friendly materials, asteroid belt drawing, presentations on amazing asteroid facts, poster making, and interactive group discussions. These hands-on activities encouraged students to explore the fascinating world of space science while enhancing their creativity, scientific thinking, research, communication, and presentation skills. The celebration proved to be an enriching and inspiring learning experience, fostering curiosity about astronomy and motivating students to develop a deeper appreciation for the wonders of the universe.
