MSMS MUN (RIDS)
Global Voices: Social and Economic Challenges Across Nations

MSMS MUN was organised by the Social Science Department under the RIDS Activity on 20th August 2026 at Mahavir Mandapam, on the theme “Global Voices: Social and Economic Challenges Across Nations” for students of Classes XI and XII.
The event aimed to sensitise students to pressing global social and economic challenges while developing essential skills in research, diplomacy, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, negotiation, and leadership.
The MUN featured ECOSOC and IP Journalism, with students representing countries including Canada, Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand, and India. Deliberations centred on pressing issues such as the rising cost of living, unemployment, and socio-economic inequalities across nations. Students engaged enthusiastically in opening speeches, the General Speakers’ List (GSL), moderated and unmoderated caucuses, resolution drafting, negotiations, and voting.
The MUN was a vibrant learning experience that empowered students to become confident communicators, informed global citizens, and responsible future leaders, while bringing the spirit of international diplomacy and collaborative problem-solving to life.
