"What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself." — Abraham Maslow
World Mental Health Day is observed globally on October 10 to break stigmas, promote emotional well-being, and advocate for mental health support. In alignment with this year’s theme, "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change," our school organized impactful initiatives throughout early October to build a compassionate, supportive environment.
The campaign commenced on October 1 with The Student Pledge Drive for Classes IX to XII. Students solemnly pledged to encourage open dialogue, offer non-judgmental support to peers, and actively dismantle mental health stigma, fostering a strong sense of solidarity across senior grades.
Adding momentum to the observance, senior students participated in 'Samvad', a Mental Health Symposium Competition. Participants delivered eloquent, thought-provoking speeches addressing academic pressure, resilience, and personal narratives. By bringing authentic lived experiences to the forefront, the speakers highlighted how listening to real voices can drive meaningful cultural change.Through pledges and articulate expression, our students demonstrated remarkable empathy and leadership. The event reaffirmed that prioritizing mental health is an ongoing culture of care within our school community.
