MSMS celebrated 76th Independence Day on 08 August, 2022 with magnificence and grandeur.
Mahavirians have been engrossed in a plethora of activities under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav sparking patriotism for over a fortnight such as role plays, slogan writing, speeches, dance, street play, musical performances and art & craft work etc.
The event ritualistically started with unfurling of the National Flag and heartwarming rendition of the National Anthem.
Our diligent and compassionate Principal, Mrs. Ruchika Sukhija ji welcomed the gathering. She addressed students as the change makers who have the potential to Reform, Perform and Transform the nation. Her words energised the audience manifolds. She also introduced our Chief Guest for the day, Dr. Garima Tiwari, ACP (IPS) Delhi Police who is a front line warrior devoted to the call of nation. We also had the honour of hosting Shri. Akhilesh Tripathi Ji, MLA Delhi Vidhan Sabha, Padma Shri Shri Gyan Chand Jain Ji (Chairman, Mahavira Foundation), Sh. Prashant Jain ji (Assistant Manager), Mrs. Aarti Girdhar (President, Anon Global Foundation), Sh. Atul Jain ji (Advocate and Alumni MSMS), Sh. Ashish Aggarwal ji (Academic Advisor and Alumni MSMS), other distinguished dignitaries & parents who graced the occasion.
A Tree Plantation ceremony was held as the tree symbolises physical and spiritual nourishment, transformation and liberation, union and fertility.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Garima Tiwari addressed the students and emphasised on appreciating the freedom, imbibing the values such as equality and responsible citizenship. Sh. Akhilesh Pati Tripathi ji appreciated the hard-work and efforts of our school in providing quality education. Sir also urged everyone to plant a sapling in their neighbourhood.
The cultural event began with Instrumental Band performance that set the emotion right followed by speeches, recitals and Yoga presentation. All the performances were infused with patriotic fervour and pride for their motherland and the same was evident in the musical tribute with a song titled, ‘Bharat ko Swarg Banana Hai’, the Rajasthani Chirmi Dance performance, the aesthetically pleasing Artwork and the skit – Ubharta Bharat, which captured India’s inspiring journey from the British Invasion to Struggle for Independence, which concluded with current achievements of our country.
Prize Distribution ceremony was held for the winners of various Intra School Competitions.
2022 is a historic year for MSMS as it is the 40th Year for our school and the Ruby Year Logo was unveiled by the esteemed guests.
The extravaganza concluded with the words of gratitude by Head Girl of the school followed by National Anthem.
