Emergency preparedness starts with you ~ Be Prepared
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Disasters are scary - for children and adults alike.
But talking about disasters before they happen and teaching children basic preparedness skills can empower them to act appropriately in times of crisis.
Introducing disaster management in the curriculum will help the children understand how to anticipate, absorb and adapt to such events.
In this activity students learnt about emergency preparedness and the three golden rules to follow :
- Make a Plan
-Build a Kit
- Be informed
Students learnt about various preventive measures they must take when natural calamities like earthquakes, floods, landslides or cyclone strikes.
They presented the situation of a disaster prone area and what measures they take and how they can provide emergency help to people around them.
They also made their own self-help kit.
This activity will help student community to build s better, stronger and resilient nation.
