‘Wash your hands, spread the word and stop the germs’

Global Handwashing Day, celebrated on 15 October every year,is an international handwashing promotion campaign to motivate and mobilize people around the world to improve their handwashing habits. The global campaign is dedicated to raise awareness and understanding about the vital importance of handwashing with soap as an easy, effective, and affordable way to prevent the spread of illness and save lives. 

This year’s theme— Unite for Universal Hand Hygiene highlights the simplicity and value of clean hands.

To inculcate this habit into our little Mahavirians, class 3 celebrated World Handwashing Day, to  understand the importance of washing their hands regularly. 
The students  participated in activities emphasizing the need to wash hands at regular intervals. This would help them lead a healthy life. The students enthusiastically participated in the activities like poster presentation, demonstration of steps of washing hands and practicing of the same.

The aim was to remind our students that handwashing with soap and water is one of the best steps we can take to avoid getting sick.
