Students visited the Kamla Nehru Ridge, a biodiversity park filled with vibrant flowers and verdant plants, to create the natural habitat of butterflies. The students observed and enhanced their knowledge about multitude of butterfly species fluttering around and stages of their life cycle.
This visit provided our young learners not only the joy and amazement but also taught about the vital role butterflies play in pollination and the importance of conservation efforts to protect them and their habitats. The place has 120 species of birds and 68 species of butterflies. Students watched Parrots, Parakeet, White throat Kingfisher, Peacock and Oriental Magpie Robin bird. Students also observed two wetlands out of five in that area. They also got the opportunity to visit their medicinal garden and enthusiastically learnt the importance of these plants. The scientists also made the students understand the historical, mythological and ecological importance of the ridge.
