Report on Community Science Programme on Air Quality
One of the most important non living resources for life is the air we breathe, Without clean air we cannot exist.
Earthwatch Institute India is a science-based conservation institution working to create awareness about air pollution and ways to mitigate it.They focus on scientific research, education and experiential learning, skill development, community-based conservation programmes and field projects, grounded in science to generate knowledge and contribute solutions.
They connect citizens with scientists to increase scientific understanding of environmental issues and observe nature as citizen scientists.
Principal ma'am launched E learning resources and learning Modules on Air Quality presented by Earthwatch.
Resource persons shared the vision of Earthwatch in reducing air pollution. They also guided students to monitor various parameters like PPM , AQI etc. related to air pollution. They discussed various methods and strategies that can be adopted to reduce air pollution. They gave copies of comic book "Clean Air begins with me" related to air pollution for MSMS library.
