MSMS celebrates NURTURE THE NATURE

Students have a vital role in pollution mitigation. Through education, action, and advocacy, they can make a significant impact on reducing pollution and promoting a sustainable environment. By integrating the sustainable practices into their daily lives and encouraging others to do the same. They can help drive the change needed to protect our planet.

Class VII students made an effort to spread awareness by sharing their views on how to curb the different types of pollution like Air Pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and soil pollution.  A Role play competition was organised by the Science department in which students participated enthusiastically. They showcased their best with the meaningful props used by them to convey their message to the audience present.

SCIENCE SCULPTURE (BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION)

Science department of MSMS celebrated NURTURE THE NATURE - Zero Effect, Zero Defect to raise awareness about Plastic Pollution. In week long events, best out of waste competition SCIENCE SCULPTURE was organised for Class-6 in which students reused the plastic waste and made innovative and creative materials.

Capacity Building Workshop on NEP 2020 by CBSE 

MSMS in association with CBSE hosted a Capacity Building Workshop on NEP 2020 for the teachers from several CBSE affiliated schools. The distinguished Resource Persons of the day were Ms. Priya Gambhir, Principal, St. Andrews World School, Ghaziabad and Ms. Rekha Pachauri, Academic Advisor and Principal at Pratap International School, Kanpur. Our eminent Resource Personnel were welcomed by Mrs. Ruchika Sukhija, Principal, MSMS. This enriching workshop aimed to educate teachers about the key components of NEP 2020 and emphasized upon the importance of mental well- being in the educational ecosystem. It was held in three segments, jointly conducted by both the Resource Personnel.

An in-depth analysis of NEP 2020 was presented, focusing on its vision to transform the Indian educational landscape, followed by brainstorming on ways to reduce the learning gap and ensuring no child is left invisible in classrooms. Several CBSE initiatives to cater to NEP 2020 recommendations for fostering Values and Ethics, Life Skills and 21st Century skills, Health Education, Digital Literacy, Mathematical and Computational Thinking, achieving SDGs, Transforming Assessment etc. were discussed. 

The entire workshop was extremely fruitful in highlighting the current concerns in education and making the teachers aware about the initiatives and resources built by CBSE in light of NEP 2020, and was a significant step towards aligning our school community with the new educational reforms and enhancing mental health support systems.

This International Yoga Day, the spirit of "Yoga for Self and Society" was embraced. Engaging activities ignited students' interest in yoga's transformative power for both personal and community well-being. Interactive sessions saw enthusiastic students learn and practice various asanas and warm-up exercises. Instructors delved deeper, explaining the benefits of yoga postures, meditation, and pranayama for mental, physical, and psychological health.

A captivating field trip allowed students to experience yoga in nature, reinforcing its connection to a balanced life. A summer vacation trip offered a unique blend of invigorating treks followed by group yoga sessions, highlighting the synergy between physical activity and yoga's holistic approach.

A video showcasing the students' yoga journey served as a lasting inspiration. These enriching activities not only equipped students with the knowledge of yoga's benefits but also encouraged them to incorporate this practice into their daily lives. The events fostered a sense of camaraderie and energetic spirit, solidifying the importance of collective well-being. School leadership's support in providing these enriching programs is acknowledged

MSMS AT 4TH POSITION IN NATIONAL GREEN SCHOOL RANKING

The organizer of the National Green School Ranking 2024 GREEN MENTORS, registered in the United States & India is a trailblazing global organization across more than 42 countries , that revolutionizes education worldwide by embedding sustainability at its core. Green Mentors is the Greening education Partner of UNESCO and  also a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

It's a moment of immense pleasure and pride that , our school secured  4th Rank in India's National Green School ranking with an impressive score of 95 out of 100.

Our school has excelled in the ten areas of sustainability that form the core of our evaluation criteria: Greening Curriculum, Greening Teaching, Greening Sports, Green Facilities, Green Transport, Campus Biodiversity, Energy Use and Saving Practices, Water-Saving and Harvesting Practices, Waste Recycling Practices, and Green School Supplies. The National Green School Ranking 2024 evaluation process was conducted with utmost transparency using artificial intelligence, ensuring an unbiased and accurate assessment of all participating schools. MSMS has been  invited  to share our inspiring green story on global platform at the 8th NYC Green School Conference, scheduled for September 2024, at the ILR School, Cornell University, New York.

Mashobra Adventure: An Unforgettable Escape

Dates: June 9th - 13th, 2024

Location: Mashobra, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh)

Victory School's Mashobra trip was an epic adventure! Students embarked on a thrilling journey filled with zip-lining, rappelling, and rock climbing. A guided nature walk unveiled the secrets of the local flora and fauna, while a "survival tracking" challenge tested their teamwork and resourcefulness, culminating in a friendly Maggi-making competition.

Beyond the adrenaline rush, the trip offered valuable lessons. An informative session on "gorilla warfare" emphasized environmental responsibility, and a vibrant cultural evening brought them closer to local traditions.

Campfires crackling under a starlit sky filled with stories and songs forged lasting friendships. Exploring the bustling Shimla Mall Road added another layer of excitement.

This trip was a resounding success. Students returned with unforgettable memories, a newfound respect for nature, and a broader cultural understanding.

Students of Mahavir Senior Model School, India and Chiayi County Chungshing Elementary School, Taiwan came together virtually to experience each other’s cultures and broaden their horizons. 

It was a sheer delight to witness the students from different time zones and countries coming together to appreciate each other’s culture. Not only did they get the opportunity to showcase their respective school, infrastructure, arts but also got the exposure about each other’s country, culture, climatic conditions, lifestyle, customs etc. In doing so, they not only represented their institutions but became the true ambassadors of the two nations.

Principal ma'am's idea of writing letters to each other and becoming pen pals was recieved well by students of both the countries.  

It indeed provided exposure and opportunity to work intertwiningly and becoming the true global citizens of the world.

Scouts and Guides Camp 

Scouting and Guiding is a movement to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual aspects as individuals, and as responsible citizens.

 With this objective MSMS organised a three days’ Scouts and Guides Camp in the school premises for the students of classes VI to VIII

The camp began with flag hoisting ceremony by our Respected Principal ma'am, Mrs. Ruchika Sukhija. She addressed the students and motivated them with her inspiring words.

Proud Moment For MSMS

It is a matter of great pride that MSMS has been felicitated with a Trophy for its outstanding contribution to URJA ARPAN initiative by TATA Power.

Four students of MSMS were also winners in online science quiz. Ritika Rajpurohit  of VIII B bagged First position and felicitated with  Trophy  prize and certificate . Aditya Mathur  ( VIII C), Vrinda Soni  (XI C ) and  Lakshmi Mayanglambam ( 10 A)  also recieved trophy  and certificate as Consolation prize.

The initiative is to encourage individual and organisations to adopt energy efficient products and MSMS is a proud contributor and supporter of this initiative.

Stargazing Event - Unveiling the Wonders of the Universe

MSMS organised an exhilarating Stargazing Event on 22^nd April 24 for students on the occasion of EARTH DAY, aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation for astronomy ☄️and the wonders of the universe. The event brought together 162 students from Classes 6 to 12 to embark on an enchanting journey through the cosmos. Highlight of the show was - Telescope Observations and movie shows. Two high-powered telescopes were set up on the school terrace allowing students to gaze at celestial wonders such as the Moon, Jupiter and various star clusters.

The stargazing event at MSMS   was a resounding success, leaving students with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and grandeur of the universe. The event inspired curiosity and ignited a passion for astronomy among students of all ages. It served as a reminder of the importance of exploring the mysteries of the cosmos and sparked interest in future scientific endeavours.

MSMS joined hands with Blue Planet Environmental Solutions India Pvt Ltd, which is a  Singapore-based company. It  is the 3rd largest Waste Management company in Singapore.

Blue Planet launched *Blue Nudge, an Education to Action (Ed-Act)* platform in our school in which Blue nudge ambassadors and teachers of MSMS carry forwarded the project *Waste to Wealth. A waste paper collection Drive was launched in the school.

MSMS students and staff members collected about 400 kgs.of paper waste as part of the attempt by Blue Planet Environmental Solutions India Pvt Ltd. for Guinness Book of World Records.

MSMS is now a proud recipient of Certificate for official attempt for *Guinness Book of World Records.*

TEAM MSMS is elated to announce the Prize winners of its online Inter School Competition “Fashionably Sustainable-The Fashion Show” held under Abhivyanjana as one step towards a sustainable future.

Proud Moment For M.S.M.S.

It is a matter of great pride that MSMS has been felicitated with a Trophy on 26^th January 2024  for its outstanding contribution to URJA ARPAN initiative by TATA Power. The initiative is to encourage individual and organisations to adopt energy efficient products and MSMS is a proud contributor and supporter of this. Out of the 48 participating schools from across Delhi, ours was the second highest in terms of student participation.

Science Department in association with URJA ARPAN had done various  activities for students like Session on URJA ARPAN, science Quiz,pledge for saving energy and awareness to students & parents about the energy efficient product on the Day of PTM.

Inauguration of Renovated Computer Laboratory of MSMS

“Inauguration symbolize the fusion of dreams and reality ,where aspiration take flight.”

The grand opening of the redesigned Computer Laboratory at MSMS was held on December 19, 2023. This program was not only an important milestone but also reflected our strong commitment to provide a better educational experience and advance infrastructure to students. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Shri S.M. Jain Ji (Manager, MSMS). Shri Prashant Jain Ji (Assistant Manager,MSMS), Shri S.L. Jain Ji (Educationist, Member of Management,MSMS) and Shri Ashish Aggarwal Ji (Academic Advisor, MSMS). Our dedicated Teachers and proactive students were also there, making it a big and impressive moment for our school's efforts to being really good at education. The big moment started with a special ribbon-cutting by Shri S.M. Jain ji. Chief Guest Shri S.M. Jain Ji, all the dignitaries, guests and our Principal Ma'am declared renovated Computer Lab Open for the students. Everyone observed a moment of reverence with chanting of Navkar Mantra, expressed gratitude and sought blessings for the successful operation of the new laboratory. The audience was treated to an enchanting musical experience. Principal Ma’am, Smt. Ruchika Sukhija shared some mind boggling thoughts with everyone that why technology matters so much nowadays and how it can make a big difference in our lives. She also talked about the progress and exciting things coming up for our school. It was an inspiring moment for everyone! Shri. SM Jain Ji appreciated to everyone and shared his insightful experience, emphasizing the importance of practical application. At the end all the guests visited the computer laboratory with the computer team. They looked around, asked questions and shared how happy and satisfied they were to see the improvements. It was a great moment of joy and appreciation for the upgraded facilities.
